The organization’s growth, ambition, and national reputation create a moment of opportunity for philanthropic leaders who want to help advance bold institutional priorities with lasting effect.

An engine of innovation, NYU Langone continues to deepen its national and global impact. More than $1 billion in active NIH funding fuels an extraordinary research enterprise, while clinical teams deliver some of the best outcomes in the country. This is a community driven by purpose: to improve health, advance science, and build a healthier future for all.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Division Director, the Senior Director of Planned Giving will lead, shape, and grow a sophisticated planned giving program that supports NYU Langone Health’s most ambitious institutional and campaign priorities.

This role combines frontline fundraising with enterprise-wide leadership, requiring deep technical expertise in planned and blended giving alongside strong judgment, communication, and partnership skills. The Senior Director will manage a personal portfolio of high-net-worth donors, engage professional advisors, and close complex gifts that strengthen both immediate and long-term philanthropic impact.

Positioned at the intersection of major, leadership, principal, and planned giving, the role partners closely with gift officers, clinicians, faculty, and senior leaders to ensure integrated donor strategies across the organization. A central focus will be advancing the John Revere Society, expanding membership, accelerating documented gift intentions, and deepening engagement among NYU Langone Health’s most loyal supporters.

The Senior Director will also serve as the institution’s subject-matter expert on planned and blended giving, elevating fluency and confidence across the development organization while ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and best-in-class administration.

This is an opportunity for a strategic, relationship-driven fundraiser who is energized by complexity and motivated to build at scale. For a planned giving leader seeking to influence institutional direction and leave a lasting philanthropic legacy within a world-class academic health system, this role offers an exceptional path forward.

The salary range for this position is $222,017–$275,625 annually.
