The Opportunity

Southern Methodist University is seeking a skilled and ambitious Director of Development (DOD) to serve as chief development officer. S/he will be responsible for the development and overall fundraising program of the school, including annual capital and endowment giving. The DOD will also manage a portfolio of 100-120 active prospects, close gifts $100K and above, and make a minimum of 100 visits annually. This is the ideal opportunity for a development professional who excels in building long term relationships with individuals. Along with exemplary fundraising experience, individuals who are strategic, collaborative and flexible, and who want to be instrumental in building a best-in-class operation, will succeed in this role.
