Senior Director of Regional Development

Morehouse College

Onsite Atlanta, Georgia

Since its founding in 1867, Morehouse College has established itself as a premier institution dedicated to developing world-class leaders. As the nation’s only historically Black liberal arts college for men, Morehouse has a distinguished legacy of producing changemakers across industries—from civil rights icons like Martin Luther King Jr. to other prominent business leaders, scholars, and innovators. With an engaged network of more than 17,000 alumni, the College continues to shape the future of students by providing a rigorous academic experience that fosters intellectual and ethical growth.

Morehouse is in a period of transformational growth, bolstered by Making Men of Consequence: The Campaign for Morehouse College, a $500 million initiative that will expand scholarship opportunities, modernize campus infrastructure, and elevate faculty excellence. Located in the heart of Atlanta, a city rich in culture and history, Morehouse provides a dynamic environment for students, faculty, and staff committed to making a lasting impact.

The Opportunity

Morehouse College seeks a Senior Director of Regional Development to lead and expand a dynamic team of fundraising professionals while strengthening the College’s regional engagement strategy.

Reporting to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Chief Development Officer, the Senior Director will build and execute high-impact fundraising strategies, manage a portfolio of major and principal-level donors, and oversee a team of four Regional Directors of Development.

The Senior Director will be instrumental in cultivating relationships with alumni, parents, and industry leaders across key regions, including California, Georgia, Texas, the Mid-Atlantic, and the Tri-State area. A strategic leader and relationship builder, the ideal candidate will bring a track record of securing transformative gifts, an ability to engage and inspire stakeholders, and a deep passion for Morehouse’s mission of academic excellence and social impact.

This role provides an opportunity to advance Morehouse’s mission by securing philanthropic support that shapes the success of future generations of Morehouse Men.
