Lenox Hill Hospital and Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital will represent primary focal points for the incoming Senior Major Gifts Officer. Lenox Hill, a pivotal member of New York City’s medical community, is undergoing a historic rebuilding plan, with a $1 billion fundraising campaign launched in October 2018, in part to support the 10-year effort.
The Opportunity
The Senior Major Gifts Officer will work with the heads of the Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, and Plastic Surgery departments, who historically have been strong partners with the Development team, to steward gifts of $100,000 and above that will fund research and clinical care for people of all socioeconomic classes. S/He should have the ability to develop and implement a cohesive vision for Northwell’s fundraising efforts and excellent relationship-building skills to manage an active portfolio of more than 100 prospects. Strong communication skills, good organization, willingness to collaborate, and utilization of defined metrics and ideologies will also be essential for this role. This is the ideal opportunity for a seasoned health fundraiser with eight or more years of experience to infuse his/her expertise, ambition, and passion into efforts for access to world class healthcare for all New Yorkers.
