Art Institute of Chicago

Chicago, Illinois

The Art Institute of Chicago (AIC) is recognized as one of the world’s major museums, housing an extraordinary collection of objects from across places, cultures, and time. Since its founding in 1879, the Art Institute has grown substantially — in both its physical building and exceptional collections — while always maintaining its ambition to share its artworks with as broad an audience as possible. In addition, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) has a rich history of innovation in art and design education for both undergraduate and graduate learners. Today, it’s a unique environment where students are redefining creative making and civic engagement.

The Opportunity

The Art Institute of Chicago seeks an engaging and strategic systems expert to serve as its Executive Director of Revenue Systems and Business Intelligence.  Managing the technical operations and strategic alignment of the Museum’s revenue applications ecosystem, the Executive Director will support the goals of staff leaders in the Museum and SAIC Philanthropy, Museum Engagement, and Museum Marketing and Communications departments. Reporting to the Vice President of Enterprise Software and Analytics, the Executive Director will set the strategic direction for selecting and implementing revenue systems for the Art Institute’s business units and serve as a vital contributor to the leadership team of the Museum and SAIC.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of database administration and project management, along with an intellectual curiosity and ability to build relationships with organizational stakeholders. This is a tremendous opportunity to work at a truly global institution that fosters the exchange of ideas and inspires an expansive, inclusive understanding of human creativity.
