For more than six decades, Strawbery Banke Museum has preserved and brought to life the stories of a remarkable waterfront neighborhood that reflects over 350 years of American history. Situated on nearly 10 historic acres in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the Museum welcomes more than 100,000 visitors annually through immersive exhibitions, educational programs, preservation initiatives, and community events.

Today, Strawbery Banke is among New England’s most distinctive living history museums, interpreting centuries of change through the lens of a single neighborhood while connecting visitors to the people, cultures, and experiences that have shaped the region and the nation.

The Opportunity

The Museum has strengthened its financial foundation, expanded organizational capacity, and established ambitious goals related to preservation, audience engagement, sustainability, and long-term impact.
