The Opportunity

Boston Baroque seeks an accomplished and entrepreneurial Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising efforts during a period of exciting transition and growth.

Reporting to the Executive Director and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, the CDO will guide all aspects of the organization’s contributed revenue strategy with responsibility for generating approximately $2 million in annual philanthropic support.

This role offers the opportunity to build upon a strong artistic reputation while creating the systems, strategies, and relationships necessary to elevate fundraising performance across annual giving, major gifts, institutional support, events, and campaign initiatives. Working closely with the Board of Directors, Music Director, Executive Director, and other stakeholders, the CDO will cultivate meaningful relationships with donors and prospects, expand and diversify the organization’s philanthropic base, and foster a culture of philanthropy across Boston Baroque.

The successful candidate will help shape the future of one of the world’s leading period-instrument ensembles at a moment of extraordinary opportunity.

The salary range for this position is $125,000–$150,000.
