Apply Now Leadership Profile

Rooted in the belief that reproductive choice is foundational to gender equality, education, economic opportunity, and overall well-being, MSI Reproductive Choices empowers women and families to make informed decisions about their futures.

Through a network of clinics, outreach teams, and partners embedded in local communities, MSI delivers life-changing healthcare services in places where access is often limited or unavailable. Since 1976, the organization has supported more than 183 million women and currently provides services to over 80,000 clients daily.

MSI United States, the organization’s US-based fundraising arm, has entered a remarkable period of philanthropic momentum and growth. In 2025 alone, the Global Philanthropy Team raised more than £135 million globally, including $38.7 million from US-based donors, while significantly expanding its donor pipeline and engagement efforts. As the organization continues to diversify its revenue streams and scale private philanthropy, MSI offers an especially compelling opportunity for fundraising professionals who are energized by mission-driven growth, global impact, and the chance to help shape a rapidly evolving major gifts program.

The Opportunity

The Director of Philanthropy, West Coast will play a pivotal role in advancing MSI’s ambitious fundraising goals across one of the country’s most strategically important philanthropic regions. Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Philanthropy, this entrepreneurial leader will build and manage a portfolio of approximately 120 high-net-worth donors and prospects while designing and executing sophisticated cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the United States and internationally, the Director will help grow a portfolio valued at more than $2 million while strengthening MSI’s visibility and engagement among West Coast philanthropists and supporters.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned frontline fundraiser who thrives in both strategic and relationship-centered environments. MSI seeks a confident and collaborative professional with demonstrated success securing six- and seven-figure gifts, building donor pipelines, and connecting philanthropists to transformational global work. The ideal candidate will bring deep emotional intelligence, outstanding communication skills, and a genuine commitment to reproductive choice and women’s empowerment.

As MSI continues to expand its philanthropic reach and deepen its impact worldwide, this role offers the chance to help shape the future of a growing global movement dedicated to reproductive freedom and human dignity.

The salary range for this position is $170,000–$190,000.
