Established in 1972, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) is Houston’s Health University and Texas’s resource for health care education, innovation, scientific discovery and excellence in patient care. The most comprehensive academic health center in the UT System and the U.S. Gulf Coast region, UTHealth is home to schools of biomedical informatics, biomedical sciences, dentistry, nursing and public health and the John P. and Kathrine G. The Opportunity

The Associate Vice President, Development (AVPD) will be a key member of the Principal Gifts team, responsible for building and managing a robust individual giving program. S/He will oversee fundraising initiatives, including guiding the participation of deans and other University leaders. The AVPD will direct and support staff, providing strategic advice, training and mentorship, in addition to managing a select portfolio of high-level prospects. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership and strategic management experience to the role as well as an excellent analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
