The Opportunity
The Rhode Island Foundation seeks a visionary and strategic Vice President of Development to lead its fundraising efforts and align philanthropic initiatives with the Foundation’s new Five-Year Action Plan.
Reporting to the President and CEO and serving as a key member of the Leadership Team, this role will drive new business development, donor stewardship, professional advisor engagement, and planned giving strategies to ensure long-term sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate is a results-oriented, collaborative leader with a track record of expanding donor pipelines, implementing fundraising best practices, and strengthening operational efficiencies. They will bring a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a data-driven approach to setting and achieving ambitious fundraising goals. Experience in community foundations or grant-making organizations is a plus.
