Senior Vice President of Philanthropy

Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute

Hybrid, Remote Texas

The Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute (Meadows Institute) is a nationally respected, nonpartisan nonprofit dedicated to transforming mental health care through forward-thinking policy solutions and systems-level innovation. Established in 2013 by the Meadows Foundation, the Meadows Institute serves as a “think-and-do tank,” leveraging data-driven research, policy analysis, and technical assistance to develop and scale models of care that deliver real-world impact.

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, the Meadows Institute has a statewide presence, operating programs in all 254 Texas counties and collaborating with stakeholders across the U.S. The Meadows Institute partners with government agencies, community organizations, health systems, and philanthropic leaders to improve access, equity, and quality in mental health care. Its vision is both clear and profound: mental health is health, and everyone deserves timely, effective care, regardless of geography or circumstance.

The Opportunity

The Meadows Institute is seeking a seasoned, strategic, and mission-driven fundraising executive to serve as its Senior Vice President of Philanthropy. This is a pivotal leadership role during an exciting period of growth and momentum. Reporting to the Chief Impact Officer, the Senior Vice President will lead a high-performing development team and partner with executive leadership to shape the strategic direction of the Institute’s philanthropic initiatives.

A central focus of this role will be building the infrastructure needed to support long-term, diversified philanthropic growth. The Senior Vice President will grow a major gifts program by diversifying funding streams and directly steward a portfolio of high-net-worth donors and institutional partners.

Ideal candidates will bring a proven track record in securing six- and seven-figure gifts, leading development teams, and aligning fundraising strategies with mission-driven goals. A deep commitment to mental health care access, public health, or health equity is essential, along with familiarity with the philanthropic landscape in Texas.

This remote-friendly role requires occasional travel and offers a competitive salary of up to $200,000. While the position is remote, candidates with fundraising experience and established connections in Texas are strongly preferred.
