Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas
Located on a 34-acre campus in North Dallas, Jesuit Dallas is a prestigious college preparatory school with a rigorous academic program for young men. Under the direction of the Society of Jesus, the School emphasizes formation of the whole person and teaches young men to seek the fullest development of their God-given talents, put their faith into action, and work to create a better world. Founded in 1942 and enrolling approximately 1,100 students each year, Jesuit Dallas earned an A+ grade from Niche in its 2019 annual secondary school rankings while being named one of the 15 Best Catholic High Schools in America. Among the School’s curriculum are 26 advanced placement courses; full exchange opportunities with schools in France, Italy, and Mexico; and a robust global education program, preparing young men for the challenges of college and beyond.
The Opportunity
Serving as a key partner to the Vice President of Advancement, the Director of Development (DOD) will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Advancement Office. This is a newly created role with a tremendous opportunity to affect change, elevating the Advancement Office’s performance and productivity at a critical time in the School’s history. As a member of the Leadership Team, the DOD will oversee fundraising and support staff as well as collaborating closely with Advancement’s Director of Communications. Building relationships across the institution, s/he will lead initiatives to secure long-term philanthropic support, in addition to managing a personal portfolio of high-level prospects and donors.
This is an extraordinary time to be at Jesuit Dallas. A new master plan identifying institutional priorities and specific fundraising strategies is being created and will be initiated over the next few years. The new Director will play a critical role in developing and operationalizing best practices to ensure success for the team.
