For more than 35 years, The HALO Trust has worked at the front lines of post-conflict recovery, clearing landmines and explosive remnants of war so families can safely return to their fields, schools, and communities. HALO Trust USA, the Washington, D.C.-based 501(c)(3) affiliate, fuels this global mission through philanthropic investment, advocacy, and strategic partnerships. At least 90% of funds raised are committed directly to transforming lives in conflict-affected regions. As the organization continues to grow its philanthropic base, it stands at a pivotal moment to deepen its engagement with high-net-worth individuals and expand its community of ambassadors for this life-saving work.

Reporting to the Head of U.S. Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships and partnering closely with senior leaders in the U.S. and UK, this entrepreneurial fundraiser will build and expand a high-net-worth donor circle aligned with HALO’s global mission.

Leading a team of two professionals, the Director will manage a portfolio of at least 50 high-value donor relationships and conduct a minimum of 100 personal visits annually. The role includes designing and executing sophisticated cultivation strategies, developing six- and seven-figure proposals, recruiting and stewarding Ambassador Council members, and hosting salon-style events in key markets such as New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, and San Francisco.

The Director will also support legacy giving conversations, oversee moves management processes in Salesforce, and collaborate with global colleagues to connect donors directly with impact, including hosting field visits to HALO operations.

This is a highly visible position requiring gravitas, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to translate complex humanitarian programming into compelling investment opportunities.

The salary range for this position is $150,000–$160,000, plus benefits.

Bob thrives on the challenge of understanding the unique needs and dynamics of each organization, then strategically matching them with candidates who can seamlessly integrate and make a lasting impact.
