The ADMG’s efforts will directly fuel the ambitions of two schools that exemplify Northeastern’s commitment to discovery, innovation, and global engagement: the College of Arts, Media and Design (CAMD) and the College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH).
Comprising six academic schools and departments and multiple research centers and labs, CAMD is a vibrant community of creators, innovators, and researchers dedicated to expanding artistic and academic boundaries. They integrate fundamental human literacies with cutting-edge advancements in technology, data and new media. CAMD’s Boston campus includes a network of creative and physical maker spaces and their offerings are available at more than half a dozen of Northeastern’s global locations including Oakland, London and Vancouver.
CSSH is the liberal arts center of Northeastern University’s thriving academic community. The college’s 17 schools, departments, and programs—with disciplines ranging from economics and history to English and international affairs, just to name a few—form an interdisciplinary group of scholars with global perspectives and a culture of belonging.

The Opportunity
Northeastern University seeks a thoughtful, strategic, and entrepreneurial development professional to serve as an Associate Director of Major Gifts (ADMG) to work in support of the College of Arts, Media and Design and the College of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Assuming a frontline fundraising role and advancing meaningful relationships with alumni, parents, and friends, the Associate Director of Major Gifts will help increase the University’s fundraising capacity by cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects with the capacity to make a major gift.
The ADMG’s efforts will directly fuel the ambitions of two schools that exemplify Northeastern’s commitment to discovery, innovation, and global engagement: the College of Arts, Media and Design (CAMD) and the College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH).
Reporting to the Senior Director, Major Gifts, the ADMG is responsible for maintaining a portfolio of prospects for major gift cultivation and solicitation and assisting in the creation and implementation of strategic fundraising initiatives that successfully meet donor interests and leverage their full philanthropic potential. Operating as a highly visible representative of the University, the ADMG will establish effective relationships with prospects and donors while demonstrating an appreciation for Northeastern as a global university system enabling lifelong learning and discovery.
The ADMG will also serve as an active partner to colleagues in Northeastern’s Office of Advancement and across the University’s eight other colleges and schools to foster strategic, effective, and collaborative advancement practices.
The expected hiring range for this position is $86,490 – $122,163.75.
