As the lead agency for the city’s Tenant Right to Counsel program, EDC plays a pivotal role in safeguarding tenant rights and leveling the legal playing field for vulnerable residents.

EDC’s work goes beyond legal representation. It includes holistic support such as crisis intervention, moving assistance, and connections to vital social and health services. With deep experience in fundraising, financial oversight, and coalition-building, the Executive Director will secure the resources necessary to sustain and grow EDC’s programs. They will serve as the public face of the organization, engaging elected officials, policymakers, funders, and the community to amplify tenant voices and advocate for housing stability.

The Executive Director will oversee critical areas including labor relations, union negotiations, and board partnership, while ensuring that EDC’s culture remains inclusive, resilient, and high-performing.
