Palm Beach Zoo

Onsite Palm Beach, Florida

Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society has been a cornerstone of wildlife conservation and education in South Florida for over 50 years. Situated on a lush 23-acre site in the heart of West Palm Beach, the Zoo is home to approximately 300 animals and welcomes more than 400,000 visitors annually.

Palm Beach Zoo is a global conservation force. With programs supporting biodiversity in Florida and around the world, including coral reef protection, panther monitoring, and global partnerships in Africa, Asia, and Central America, the Zoo’s mission is to inspire action through awe-filled, meaningful encounters between people and animals. From behind-the-scenes animal experiences to innovative environmental education, Palm Beach Zoo is redefining what it means to connect the public with wildlife and wild places.

The Opportunity

Palm Beach Zoo is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) to lead its growing philanthropic efforts.

As the organization enters an exciting era of transformation that encompasses reimagining habitats, enhancing programs, and expanding community reach, the CPO will play a pivotal role in securing the resources needed to turn vision into reality.

Reporting directly to the President and CEO and working closely with the Board, the CPO will oversee a talented team and manage all fundraising channels, including major gifts, capital campaigns, corporate sponsorships, and high-impact events.

This is an opportunity to shape the future of a beloved institution by fostering lasting donor relationships in one of the nation’s most philanthropic regions while being immersed in an environment filled with exotic wildlife and a team driven by a passion for conservation.
