The Opportunity

The Sierra Club is seeking a Senior Managing Director to lead a dynamic team of major gift officers focusing on partners, stakeholders, and prospective donors in the East. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Advancement Officer, Major Gifts, the SMD will be part of a dynamic major gifts team raising $60–$70 million dollars annually for the Sierra Club’s high-impact campaigns. The SMD will work in partnership with other senior advancement colleagues to strategize, implement, and reach fundraising goals that will continue to connect philanthropic priorities with the Sierra Club’s most critical programs and ambitions. This is a rare opportunity to join the major gifts team within the advancement department at a critical time for the planet.

Through her extensive volunteer work, Libby gives back to her community and contributes to the development of the field of philanthropy. She has served on many boards, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Boston Trinity Episcopal Church, the Nelson Rockefeller Center, and The Boston House. She brings a wealth of global experience through her travel, international education, and work with Habitat for Humanity.
