The Cambridge Community Foundation (CCF) is Cambridge, Massachusetts’s local giving platform — built, funded, and guided by its residents since 1916. Acting as a civic leader, a grant maker, and a philanthropic partner, CCF is a convener and catalyst for transformative change to support vulnerable populations within the community.

CCF is on the cusp of fully harnessing the unique energy and spirit of the city which makes this a transformative period for CCF to address its ambitions for shared prosperity, social equity, and cultural richness. This new phase of growth will move the organization from one that quietly serves the needs of Cambridge’s most vulnerable residents to also becoming a powerful connector, convener, and ultimate catalyst for change.

The Opportunity

To serve as the Chief Financial Officer, CCF seeks a financial and operational leader who is inspired by the role that a thriving community foundation can play in the life of a dynamic and progressive city, and excited about the challenge and opportunity of discovering untapped potential to address the community’s compelling needs.

With at least 8-10 years of organizational finance experience, this individual will be a seasoned and mature leader who will foster strong, sustainable approaches to fund management, investment administration, and donor and funder reporting. This position will be a great match for an entrepreneurial, strategic, and effective financial and operational professional who is ready to make a difference and help transform a community foundation during a time of significant growth.

Prior to joining Lindauer, Libby held leadership roles at many influential institutions, including Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Dartmouth, and Harvard Law School.

Her experience in annual giving, major gifts, and fundraising campaigns allowed Libby to form a holistic picture of the interconnected components of modern advancement programs. Meanwhile, her time spent managing teams and engaging boards honed her ability to navigate complex organizational structures effectively.

Through her extensive volunteer work, Libby gives back to her community and contributes to the development of the field of philanthropy. She has served on many boards, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Boston Trinity Episcopal Church, the Nelson Rockefeller Center, and The Boston House. She brings a wealth of global experience through her travel, international education, and work with Habitat for Humanity. She maintains her connection with her alma mater, Dartmouth, where she has been deeply involved since matriculation.
